Gedas graduated from Weber State University in Manufacturing Engineering with an emphasis in welding and is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by the American Welding Society. He has written, presented and published numerous papers for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) including subjects on steel pipelines and steel tunnel liners 4’ diameter to 33’ diameter. He has been with National Welding for 10 years and has considerable experience on the practical side of our work plus the technical side regarding submittals, specifications and code issues. This combination of experience and education has provided the ability to innovate unique construction techniques and recognize constructability problems in advance of the need. He often prepares CAD modeling to evaluate our options and potential conflicting issues.
Jeff Green is the General Superintendent at National Welding Corporation and has developed a vast amount of knowledge having been with National for over 19 of our 20 years. National has installed, assembled or welded over 200 heavy civil welded steel projects throughout the United States from Alaska to Florida including 40 States and Jeff has been directly or indirectly involved in many of these projects. Jeff oversees most of the hiring, training and logistics of our welding crews (who apparently save the world one weld at a time according to his LinkedIn profile). He sets up projects, monitors work progress and visits most of our projects on an intermittent basis just to make sure all is well. Jeff has a “get it done” attitude that motivates our crews to continue to deliver the high level of performance National Welding provides.
Jared is the Operations Engineer at National Welding and has been with National for nearly 4 years. He graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Construction Management and began work for National as the Assistant Manager on our largest diameter steel tunnel liner which was 33 feet in diameter and located 300 feet underground in Chicago, IL. After Chicago, he went on to several other similar projects elsewhere in the country. Since the start Jared has excelled at problem solving and managing the logistics on complex work. Having experienced our real world conditions, Jared is uniquely qualified to prepare many of our proposals and estimates while spear heading the bid opportunities. He also shares the responsibility of constructions logistics, setup and oversite on many projects.
Julie is the Office Manager at National Welding and has intimate understanding of our operations having been with National for 16 of our 20 years. Julie came to National with a strong background in accounting and general operations and has excelled at putting these talents to great use at National. She is responsible for overseeing our daily accounting needs including payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. In addition, Julie locates and sets up new vendors and handles much of the travel logistics for the employees.
